I have hit a brickwall with my ancestor. I have heard about gathering information on the Friends, Associates & Neighbors and collateral family members to find more information.

My goal is to find out exactly where my ancestor Johann Schmitt came from in Bavaria. Who his parents were and siblings. Follow with me as I had gather information and see where it will lead me.
